Class A Truck Driver must have a basic working knowledge of construction projects and must have a full understanding of the operation of the trucks and trailers he/she is assigned to. ****Must be able to drive an 18-speed**** Applicants must be able to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol and background checks.
Duties
  • Adhere to the company’s safety and health policy while following all safety regulations and precautions
  • Operate the equipment in a safe and productive manner, always wearing the safety belt
  • Adhere to DOT regulations
  • Perform the daily maintenance requirements of the equipment as required/requested (i.e. greasing, small repairs, etc.)
  • Receive and follow directions from immediate supervisor in a professional manner
  • Work together as a team to complete the task
  • Be prepared for all weather conditions (proper clothing, gloves, etc.)
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections, filling out forms daily and submitting them to the dispatcher
  • Strive to avoid situations where truck may get stuck or damaged
  • Keep the inside of the truck clean
  • Drive truck to jobs and successfully completes customer requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Modify speeds and driving in accordance with weather and road conditions
  • Accurately complete work tickets with correct job numbers, lease names, load times, unload times, miles traveled, drive time, wait time, material quantities, and other information as required
  • Complete daily logs and submit them to the dispatcher each day
  • Turn in fuel tickets and load tickets daily
  • Report maintenance problems with each use until fixed
Requirements
  • 2 years experience working as a Class A Truck Driver with Tanker/Fresh Water Haul experience
  • Must have tank gauging experience
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Must have Challenger Vac Pumps Experience
  • Understand DOT regulations
  • Knowledge of the operations of the truck and trailers that the company uses in its daily operations
  • Clean driving record
  • Medical Card
  • Drug and Alcohol free
  • Phone that can reach you at all times, day or night
  • Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to lift hood, check oil and coolant levels and all other inspection functions daily
