Class A Truck Driver - HydroVac (Williston, ND)

Must have a Class A License and have experience operating a hydrovac truck. Must have a basic working knowledge of construction projects. Applicant must have a full understanding of the operation of the trucks and trailers he/she is assigned to. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol and background check.
Duties
  • Adhere to the company’s safety and health policy while following all safety regulations and precautions
  • Operate the equipment in a safe and productive manner, always wearing the safety belt
  • Adhere to DOT regulations
  • Perform the daily maintenance requirements on the equipment as required/requested (i.e. greasing, small repairs, etc.)
  • Receive and follow directions from immediate supervisor in a professional manner
  • Work together as a team to complete the task
  • Be prepared for all weather conditions (proper clothing, gloves, etc.)
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections, filling out forms daily and submitting them to the dispatcher
  • Strive to avoid situations where the truck may get stuck or damaged
  • Keep the inside of the truck clean
  • Drive truck to jobs and successfully completes customer requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Modify speeds and driving in accordance with weather and road conditions
  • Drive truck to jobs and successfully completes customer requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Accurately complete work tickets with correct job numbers, lease names, load times, unload times, miles traveled, drive time, wait time, material quantities and other information as required
  • Complete daily logs and submit them to the dispatcher each day
  • Turn In fuel tickets and load tickets daily
  • Report maintenance problems with each use until fixed
Requirements
  • 2 year experience working as a Class A Truck Driver with Vac Trailer experience
  • Valid driver’s license, with clean driving record
  • Understand DOT regulations
  • Knowledge of the operation of the truck and trailers (belly dumps, side dumps and pup) that the company uses in its daily operations.
  • Clean driving record
  • Medical card
  • Drug & alcohol free
  • Phone that can reach you at all times, day or night
  • Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to report to work at all times on short notice
  • HazMat Endorsement preferred, or the ability to obtain HazMat Endorsement
  • Ability to lift hood, check oil and coolant levels and all other inspection functions daily
