West Dakota Water (WDW) is the largest private seller of fresh industrial water in North Dakota. West Dakota Water designs, owns, and operates a fresh water pipeline system and provides surface transfer services for oil and gas development projects. Located in some of the most productive fields in the Bakken, West Dakota Water’s in-ground water delivery system includes 120+ miles of pipeline, reservoirs, and pump stations, and SCADA controls. WDW’s surface transfer operations includes 140+ miles of surface hose and numerous portable pumps. The West Dakota Water Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the design and compliance with WDW’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control program. The WDW Quality Assurance Manager will develop a documented QA/QC program to industry best methods and compliant with customer requirements. The program will incorporate existing practices, or improve upon existing practices and will be developed with input from the Division Manager and Operations. QA/QC practices will be regularly monitored to ensure compliance and to support continuous improvement. Certain QA/QC functions will be the responsibility of the WDW Quality Assurance Manager including training crews, the operations and maintenance of the WDW pump house and supplemental pump stations, and line locating. The Pumphouse/Pipeline Superintendent and Surface Transfer Training report to the WDW Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Lead projects in accordance with West Dakota Water’s People First, Safety Always company value
  • Develop a thorough understanding of West Dakota Water’s existing system and practices.
  • Establish Quality Assurance/Quality Control objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the scope of company policy. Establish, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures.
  • Ensure ongoing operations of the WDW in-ground system and surface transfer equipment through preventive maintenance practices, enhancements, and repairs as needed.
  • Ensure One Call processes are executed on a timely basis within the requirements of Call 811 to maintain the integrity of the WDW in-ground system.
  • Perform additional projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Minimum five years experience in operations managerial role or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance objectives and control practices
  • Demonstrated skills in organizing and communicating information, and executing project plans in a timely and effective manner, appropriately prioritizing tasks and leveraging company resources
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading project teams and working individually
  • Strong communication, proactive problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in dynamic, changing circumstance
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Science, Construction Management, or equivalent training
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; GIS; Hard Dollar or similar estimating software; Primavera, Microsoft Office or similar scheduling software, and experience with ERP systems.
