The Roll-Off Logistics Manager, Houston is responsible for the overall operations of JMAC Resources Roll Off business in Houston, Texas. This is a start up operation and responsibilities include identifying opportunities and customers, selling roll off box services, ensuring superior customer service, recruiting, developing, and leading a team as business needs require, and profitably managing operations including dispatch and truck operations and maintenance. The Roll-Off Logistics Manager reports to the Director of Health, Safety, and Environmental Services who is located in Williston, North Dakota.
Duties
  • Lead crews and operations in accordance with JMAC Resources People First, Safety Always company value, ensuring safe operations at all times and leading execution of applicable safety processes
  • Develop, maintain, and service customers
  • Educate new and existing customers regarding acceptable and prohibited wastes
  • Ensure delivery of exceptional customer service
  • Coordinate and dispatch in a manner that ensures customers are served on a timely basis
  • Develop and lead team to perform to JMAC Resources standards
  • Ensure all roll off equipment remains compliant to all applicable laws and regulations and are maintained properly
  • Be available to drive roll off truck when necessary to ensure customer needs are served
  • Resolve disputes and errors with customers
  • Provide accurate information to Accounting to properly invoice jobs. Assist in collections as needed
Requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading crews and operations
  • Strong communication, proactive problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in dynamic, changing circumstances
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate productive activities and efforts
  • Demonstrated skills in organizing and communicating information, executing plans in a timely and effective manner, appropriately prioritizing tasks, and leveraging company resources
  • Possess physical ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs using both arms on a regular basis
  • Possess physical ability to sit and drive for long periods of time, safely open and shut container doors, secure load so that it can be hauled safely, install manual tarps on containers
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office suite applications such as Excel and Word
  • Possess valid CDL A driver’s license with good driving record
  • Prior experience in roll off business preferred
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
