Project Description
In this project, the current highway and right of way was settling causing a significant safety concern. Our team began by rerouting 1900 feet of 12” water main, then worked to stabilize the fill and keep it from shearing off by benching out a 70’ cut, bringing it back up 70’ in 1-foot lifts and placing geogrid. We successfully moved 200,000 CY of dirt on a busy U.S. Highway 2.
